Job Overview:
The Plumbing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating plumbing activities within our organization. This role requires a highly skilled individual with extensive knowledge and experience in plumbing systems, equipment, and regulations. The Plumbing Supervisor will lead a team of plumbers and ensure the proper installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems to meet established standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise a team of plumbers, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure efficient and effective completion of plumbing projects.
2. Manage and prioritize plumbing tasks, assignments, and schedules to meet project deadlines and organizational requirements.
3. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to plan and execute plumbing activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
4. Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
5. Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders to determine the materials, tools, and equipment required for plumbing projects.
6. Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex plumbing issues, troubleshoot problems, and recommend appropriate solutions.
7. Monitor inventory levels of plumbing materials and supplies, ensuring availability for ongoing projects while minimizing wastage and reducing costs.
8. Maintain accurate records of plumbing activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance, and repairs performed.
9. Train and mentor plumbing staff, promoting professional development and ensuring their competency in handling various plumbing tasks.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in plumbing systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in plumbing is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a plumber, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installations and repairs.
3. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, equipment, materials, and techniques.
4. In-depth understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
5. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
6. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve complex plumbing issues.
8. Exceptional attention to detail and quality control, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
10. Proficient computer skills, including the use of plumbing-related software and systems.
